Course Description

In this course, we give an introduction to the speaking skill. We start by defining the aims of teaching speaking and exploring what is involved in teaching speaking. We will then look at different examples of typical speaking activities and the difference between teaching for accuracy and teaching for fluency. Finally, we will look at the teacher’s role in teaching speaking and the stages in a speaking lesson.
